A newly discovered species of ground-dwelling gecko from Karnataka has been named Hemidactylus vijayraghavani, after Prof K VijayRaghavan, the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India. Mr Zeeshan A.

भारतीय तंत्रज्ञान संस्था मुंबई येथील रसायनशास्त्र विभागात प्राध्यापक असलेल्या चंद्र एम. आर. वोला यांनी रासायनिक विज्ञान क्षेत्रातील त्यांच्या संशोधयासाठी नासी तरुण वैज्ञानिक पुरस्कार २०१८ जाहीर करण्यात आला आहे. उत्प्रेरकाशी संबंधित असलेल्या त्यांच्या या कार्यबद्दल त्यांना हा पुरस्कार मिळाला आहे.
