Namitha Kumar

Namitha received a PhD in psychology from the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore in April 2016. Her research focused on the cognitive aspects of adaptation in disabilities like spinal cord injuries. She is a vocal advocate of disability rights. Currently she is engaged as research director at a healthcare not-for-profit working on care coordination, research and policy forĀ  rare, genetic disorders. Namitha has a deep interest in the power of science for human good and looks forward to the positive applications and cures from gene therapy and gene editing. She has been a medical writer for Medindia since 2014.
