Bamboo brings to mind beautifully designed furniture and for a few, memories of seeing a bamboo grove may have left an ever-lasting impression. Home for extraordinary animals and livelihood for millions of people, we are all familiar with bamboo. However, the diversity of bamboo is such that there will always be one more thing to learn about it, whether it is the unconventional uses or its intriguing fruit. While certain species are threatened and some are being studied or introduced for economic use, more research and population studies are required for others. Let us learn more, not only about its fascinating facts but also its conscious and sustainable use.
