Berries and pomegranate might help fight inflammatory bowel disease, shows study

Researchers from InStem, Bengaluru, CCAMP, Bengaluru, University of Louisville, USA, University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, USA and Dalhousie University, Canada have reported that a compound produced during the breakdown of berries and pomegranate in the gut has the potential to reduce inflammatory bowel disease, which affects millions of people across the globe.

New secretive frog species discovered in a roadside puddle in Southern India

The forests of the Western Ghats, a biodiversity hotspot of India, have been revealing several new species of amphibians and reptiles in the recent years. This time, however, amphibian researchers from the University of Delhi have discovered a new frog species which was hiding in plain sight in a roadside puddle in Southern India.
