Shambhavi is a doctoral researcher in behavioural neuroscience and is a part-time science writer. She received her Master's degree from the Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research (Bengaluru), studying evolutionary biology and neurogenetics. She is currently enrolled at the Humboldt University (Berlin), where she studies decision-making behaviour in bats. It's anyone's guess whether Shambhavi's first love is Zoology or writing, but she hopes to wed the two in a future career as a science journalist. When she's not chasing bats or running outdoor trails, she’s usually hunting for the perfect humorous metaphor.
