Pilia, an enigmatic genus of jumping spider has just been rediscovered in the tropical forests of Western Ghats after a staggering 123 years. Love for nature and wildlife made me pursue a master’s degree in Environmental Science from University of Delhi, followed by a Master of Research degree in Marine and Freshwater Ecology and Environmental Management from University of Glasgow, Scotland.

While pursuing my studies I worked as a lab demonstrator for second year undergraduates in University of Glasgow. Back home I briefly worked for ATREE (Delhi), Department of Environment (Govt. of Delhi) and taught science to high school kids in a school.Currently, I work for Bhaktivedanta Academy for Spiritual Sciences where I am one of the team members running a Newsletter.

I always had an inclination towards writing and over the years developed a liking for popular science writing and the way it’s helping general masses appreciate science more than ever. Writing for Research media of IISc fulfills that desire to bring the latest developments in science and technology to the common man.
